Turkey/Syria Earthquake Fundraiser Ceilidh with Cataclews

Our Syria and Turkey DEC Earthquake appeal raised £1,250 on February 24th.

Thanks to all who came, to those who bought tickets despite not being able to come, to the wonderful Cataclews for their great music and donated time, to Wadebridge Wines and Haywood Cider farm for donating drinks, and to all the local businesses who gave raffle prizes.

We made a pre-event donation of £500, and a second donation a week after the ceilidh for the balance of £750.

We will probably organise another fundraiser — this time for the folk festival — in May. And look out also for our 2023 50th Cornwall Folk Festival opening ceilidh with KRELYS on Thurs 24th August in Wadebridge Town Hall.
