Saturday Aug 27 @ 1:00 pm Outside Swan Hotel
Also Saturday Aug 27 @ 2.30 pm Outside Swan Hotel, together with Trigg Morris.
Tywardreath Morris have been dancing in and around this area since 2010, performing Morris in the Cotswold tradition.
Their dances originate from the Cotswold village of Adderbury, and the city of Litchfield — which, whilst not geographically in the Cotswolds, has a similar style of dancing.
Morris is a living, evolving tradition and they also perform dances more recently created by Broadwood Morris from Horsham and from various other sources. Some of these are in a rather different style associated with the English and Welsh borders.
Their costume of black trousers, white shirts and black and gold baldrics reflects the colours of the Cornish coat of arms. The Cornish bezants are embroidered on the front of the baldrics and each member of the team has a personal logo, saying something about them, embroidered on the back.
