Saturday Aug 28, 2021 - Monday Aug 30, 2021 Town Hall, Wadebridge
Sat 28th: Near Barclays Bank, Molesworth St, 12:15 and 2.30pm
Common Morris was formed in March 2018. Virtually all members were ‘morris virgins’ so they had a long period of learning before they burst upon the local scene.
Local means in and around St Cleer and Liskeard. Covid forced them into temporary retirement, but 2021 saw them to dance on May morning in the Hurlers stone circle. They’re made of hardy stuff, as that meant open-air practices in pretty cold weather. Dances have been adapted so physical content is absent at present. They are a mixed side and perform their own and well-established border dances. New dancers and musicians very welcome. They practice on Wednesday evenings at the Memorial Hall in St. Cleer.
