Sarah McQuaid’s lush, chocolatey voice combines with her captivating, unorthodox songwriting, engaging personality and brilliant musicianship to create a truly immersive experience. Her most recent release made ‘best of 2021’ on three continents.
Born in Madrid, raised in Chicago and resident in Cornwall since 2007, her eclectic background informs her writing, resulting in material spanning genres and defying categorisation.
Sixth album The St Buryan Sessions was recorded live in the beautiful medieval church of St Buryan, West Cornwall. It features stunning solo performances by Sarah on guitars, piano and percussion, her lush, distinctive vocals echoing through the soaring space.
She has a lifetime achievement award from the Ards International Guitar Festival in Ireland, where previous recipients include John Renbourn and Martin Carthy.
